Piling (Shoulder Collar) with Dragons and Clouds
清代石青地云龙纹披领
The piling is an essential accessory of formal court dress, set over the neck and shoulders in the form of a pair of spread wings. A profile dragon occupies each side with clouds between, and the edges are separately banded. Because it was made apart from the robe, the collar often survives on its own.
