Research Significance

  1. 01The donation places the objects in a public collection, where they receive accession numbers, catalogue records and long-term care.
  2. 02Researchers may consult them through the museum’s established procedure, so that work on the material can accumulate rather than end with a single display.
  3. 03The objects are available for teaching and exhibition, providing verifiable primary material for the history of dress, textile technology and the applied arts.
