Evolution and Cultural Meaning of Dragon and Cloud Motifs Across the Qing Dynasty

清代历朝龙纹和云纹的演变过程与文化内涵

Working from surviving garments, this talk traced the successive changes in the form of dragon and cloud motifs across the reigns of the Qing dynasty, discussed the relation between motif detail and dating, and set out the questions of rank and symbolism carried by their combination.
